CYDI Celebrates the Class of 2026: Keep on Keeping On

There are moments in the life of a school that remind us why the work matters. Graduation is one of those moments.

The CYDI 2026 Graduation Ceremony was more than a formal event. It was a celebration of perseverance, growth, family, community, and the power of young people choosing to keep moving forward. As our graduates walked across the stage, each name represented more than the completion of high school. Each name represented a story — a story of effort, resilience, support, and possibility. This year’s commencement message to the graduates was simple but powerful: Keep on keeping on.

That message was not just a phrase. It was a charge for the next chapter of their lives.

For many of our students, the road to graduation was not always easy or straight. There were challenges, responsibilities, setbacks, and moments when finishing may have felt far away. But the Class of 2026 stayed the course. They showed up. They grew. They pushed through. They finished.

And now, as they step into life after graduation, we encouraged them to carry three important “keeps” with them.

First, keep connected.

Graduation does not mean leaving the CYDI family behind. It means joining a larger network of support, opportunity, and relationships. At CYDI, we reminded our graduates that opportunities often come through relationships. A job lead, a college connection, a mentor, a recommendation, a business idea, or a second chance often begins with a conversation and a connection.

We want our graduates to know that they are still part of this school community. They can come back. They can ask questions. They can seek guidance. They can stay connected to the teachers, staff, mentors, classmates, partners, and community members who believe in them. Their network matters, and CYDI remains part of that network.

Second, keep learning.

A diploma is a major achievement, but it is not the end of learning. It is evidence that learning can open doors. Whether our graduates continue in college, enter the workforce, begin training, pursue the trades, start a business, serve their community, or create their own path, they must continue developing their minds and skills.

Some learning will be formal — in classrooms, certification programs, apprenticeships, colleges, and training centers. Some learning will be informal — through work, mentors, books, mistakes, conversations, discipline, observation, and life experience.

Both matter.

The world is changing quickly, and the students who keep learning will be the ones who keep growing. Skills create options. Knowledge builds confidence. Discipline creates freedom. We challenged our graduates to stay curious, stay teachable, and never believe that graduation means they are done becoming.

Third, keep pushing.

There is more in our graduates than what has already been seen. Their stories are not complete. Their achievements are not finished. Their potential has not been fully revealed.

Graduation is an important milestone, but it is not the final destination. It is a beginning. The Class of 2026 has already shown that they can overcome obstacles, finish what they started, and rise to the moment. Now the challenge is to keep pushing toward the next goal, the next opportunity, the next level, and the next version of themselves.

We reminded our graduates that they are not done achieving. They are not done striving. They are not done building. The same strength that helped them reach this day can help them move into their future with purpose, courage, and expectation.

To the CYDI Class of 2026: we are proud of you.

We are proud of the strength it took to reach this day. We are proud of the growth others may not have seen. We are proud of the decisions you made to keep going. We are proud of the young adults you are becoming.

As you move forward, remember this: your diploma is not just a document. It is evidence. Evidence that you can finish what you start. Evidence that you can overcome difficult seasons. Evidence that you can learn, adapt, work, lead, and build.

Carry that evidence with you.

To the families, mentors, teachers, staff, partners, and community members who supported our graduates along the way, thank you. Your encouragement, patience, guidance, prayers, and belief helped make this moment possible. Graduation is a student achievement, but it is also a community celebration.

The photos from this special day capture more than caps, gowns, smiles, and diplomas. They capture pride. They capture relief. They capture joy. They capture a moment our graduates and families will remember for years to come.

Congratulations to the CYDI Class of 2026.

Keep connected. Keep learning. Keep pushing.

Keep on keeping on.
